Jo radiant with baby Jake. Jo is set to return on a part time basis. Sue Chatfield after many years of dedication has now retired. We all miss her very much and wish her well in her new ventures.
Roddy's expertise in conditioning coaching and sports massage should bring a refreshing approach to Football management, but he will continue to apply this expertise and work closely with us within the clinic to complement physiotherapy treatments.

Glowing mum Sam with baby Jake Jo and Sam had a big baby boy on Saturday 13th at 4.30 p.m.! Baby Jake came in at a massive 9lb 9oz! Sadly no-one came close to guessing the weight (closest was 8lb 8oz) and we have therefore decided to donate the prize to Daisy’s Dream. Jan '10
Nikki Brect (top), David McConnon (middle) and Kathy Green (bottom). Read more about them on our Team page. Our recent departures have been ably replaced by new faces - not all unfamiliar... Nikki Brecht has returned to us, both to take up her Pilates classes again, and to work in the clinic full time. It’s wonderful having her back, and her sporting and rehabilitation skills have given us an extra dimension to our treatments. David McConnon has joined us to do some evening sessions, and increased the cosmopolitan feel of the clinic, with his sunny Aussie charm. With David on board, we are now able to offer a Hydrotherapy Service, which we are currently developing. Kathy Green has joined us as a Junior Physio to treat some of our NHS clients. Having a junior in the practice has improved our teaching skills no end, keeps us on our toes and has allowed us to expand our in-house training programme. Kathy has certainly come on leaps and bounds during her stay with us. The team at 3way wish you all a warm welcome - and invite our clients to speak to us about the new services, treatments and classes now on offer! Call us on 0118 969 2299 for more information! There have been many changes at the clinic over the last few months, with some familiar faces moving on, and new ones joining us. Jo has now started her maternity leave, and is enjoying her last few days before the imminent arrival (due on February 7th). We wish her good luck with the birth, and look forward to welcoming her back in the autumn. Laura has found the joys of motherhood too alluring, and has sadly decided not to return following her maternity leave. We shall miss her very much, but wish her well in the future. Excitingly, Laura topped her busy year away from us by marrying her long term partner Fred in December, and is now Mrs Forsyth. Emma, after an all too brief spell here, found she needed to follow her partner to London for his work, even though she was sorry to leave. It must have been the correct decision for her… as she is now engaged! Sue Chatfield finally hung up her physio gloves in December, and retired. She is really enjoying her retirement, and wonders how she ever found time to work, but stays in touch. With every best wish to you all from the team at 3way! Jan '10

We were sorry we had to cancel so many appointments due to the snow at the beginning of January. We were really down to a skeleton staff, but appreciated that not many patients could get out either! ( On the other hand it was very pretty!) Comings and Goings

Emma Bellew (top) and Liberty Mutepaire (bottom) add their specialisms and expertise to 3way's dedicated team of healthcare professionals. Read more about them on our Team page. With new mum Laura off on Maternity leave till March next year, we welcome Emma Bellew fresh from the slopes of Val D’Isere. Emma’s already proving a cheery face around the clinic, and we're delighted to welcome her to 3way! Sadly for us, Sue Gentle found the lure of a managerial post in the NHS too strong and has moved on to take up an important role at Wokingham hospital. We wish her all the very best in her new role. Kerry will be extending her hours to cover Sue’s list. The world has become Sharlene's oyster as she's decided to go travelling! Sharlene's classes will finish in July and we all wish her a Bon Voyage! After a break for the summer, Emma will be taking over her Thursday evening Pilates classes. To meet the demand for our popular evenings treatment sessions, we have taken on Liberty Mutepaire for Monday and Thursday evenings. (It also means we have a man around the place again which is lovely!) 09/06/09
New mum Laura and baby Emily. Congratulations to Laura and Fred on the birth of their little girl Emily Connie born at 03:40 on 9th June, weighing in at 7lb 6oz. Both baby and mother are doing fine and hopefully getting some well-earned rest. May '09
Jacky (front row, left) and her cup winning team! Jacky topped off a great season with Reading Men’s 1st XI by helping them win the National cup yet again. This made up for the disappointments of coming second in the National league and the Indoor, and just missing out on reaching the Finals of the European league. 29/03/09
Jo and her father-in-Law ran the Reading half marathon on 29th March this year. They were really pleased to finish under 2 hours (1 hour 59 minutes and 57 seconds to be precise!) and managed to raise a fantastic £240 for Childline! 10,000th Patient
Aug '08
In August 2008 we registered our 10,000th patient since beginning our computerised records back in 1999. This is an exiting - and landmark - achievement for us, especially as many of those 10,000 patients return faithfully to see us for advice, treatments, or to take part in our classes. In celebratory fashion, we have awarded the lucky patient a bottle of champagne! "Goodbye and Hello!"

Chris Keevil (top) leaves 3way to concentrate on his Epsom clinic. Athletic Sharlene Bertie (bottom) joins us as part of our Pilates team. At the end of July we were sorry to say goodbye to Chris Keevil (right) who is our longest standing associate having been with us over 10 years. Sadly the commute from Epsom and the pressures of a young family have become too difficult to juggle, so he will now concentrate on his Epsom clinic. We will miss his cheery face and manner, considerable expertise, particularly in the sports medicine field, but most of all will miss having a DIY expert about the place. Chris has been replaced at Brookside, our NHS clinic by Sue Gentle. Sue is currently working at Wokingham Hospital and brings a wealth of experience to the post.
We have also said farewell to one of our Pilates teachers, Nikki Brecht. Nikki has taken a new job in Reading and unfortunately this will clash with the Pilates. While we are sorry to see Nikki go and will miss her she has been replaced by the very able Sharlene Bertie (right) who is currently a senior physiotherapist at Heatherwood and Wexham Park, and has the same training and qualifications as Nikki and Clare. Sharlene is a keen athlete, and we’re sure her high levels of fitness will keep all of you in the classes on your toes! Race for Life

Our receptionist Sue Stanlake raised over £70.00 for cancer research in the race for life in July. Well done Sue, and thanks to everyone who sponsored her! |
